The Power of Passive Income

In school we are taught how to get a job, but almost nothing about creating passive income. When you speak in public, lead seminars or consult clients, your physical presence is required. Even if you command audiences of hundreds there is a finite number of people you can address in a given year.
Creating compelling DVDs, audio CDs and other merchandise allows you to reach a broad range of people you may never meet. It extends your brand, bolsters your credibility and gives your clients and customers take-home value. Plus, having compelling product allows you develop a body of work that grows over time. You leave a legacy, and it becomes your best source of passive income.
Professionals often ask themselves if they can afford the initial investment needed to create their own branded products. But a better question may be how long can you afford not to?
So where do you start? You don’t have to go it alone. Try to partner with a professional company that offers you the greatest range of support and services. Many media companies are “one-stop-shops”, providing a more efficient and streamlined production process, and reducing the cost required by contracting services from a number of separate vendors.
Look for a company that views you as a partner rather than just another customer. Avoid hidden fees and surprises by getting written quotes and a scope of work statement. Often discounts are available if you agree to share rights – which is a true partnership.
